My basic training is as an electrical engineer at the Tycho Brahe school in Helsingborg. After that I further my education in areas such as PLC and HMI programming, electrical system and safety. Training outside automation are pedagogy in practice, refrigeration and micro-biology. By myself have studied programming such as, C++, Python and Codesys.
I have worked for companies such as Tetra Pak, Saint-Gobain and Elopak. This has given me experience in everything from electrical design to programming of automated systems and processes applications. During visits of customer all over the world I have got field experience such as commissioning of plants. The customers have been food producers around the globe.
Today I work for JBT or John Bean Technologies. My main tasks are the PLC and HMI programming. I work with everything from the design stage through to commissioning in the field. The system that I work with are Siemens and Allen-Bradley. I also prepare and provide training in automation. The training is conducted in English when participants come from all over the world.
Computers have always been a great hobby for me, my first computers during the early years was the Atom and the BBC. Of course, I had a dark time with windows before I found the light. The light was when I discovered Linux operating system, I have always installed Linux on my home computers after this day. Of course, I am using Windows at work. But at home I program and make the system configuration on Linux, Raspberry and Arduion. Everything that happens on your screen right now, run by my Raspberry Pi is in our conservatories.
My interest in photography goes so far back in time that we were using chemicals to develop the pictures. With today's digital technology we are working in a completely different way, and as a photographer you can use the new technology to become more creative. I love photographing wildlife and nature, but also details and macro are of interest.
This interest can be summed up in the word cosmology, where the Big Bang theory is the central theory. I was fascinated when I read about how the Greeks 2500 years ago could figure out the shape and size of the Earth, by only the measurements of some shadows lengths. Admittedly fell this knowledge into oblivion over 2000 years. I also like to read about astronomy, relativity theory and quantum mechanics.
History is an interest that has arisen recently. The history is very interesting, the perception of what has happened is changing continuously. We are constantly finding new discoveries that alter our view of the past. My historical interest are the major changes that have taken place. When mankind became resident, when the Roman Empire spread Christianity throughout Europe and Sweden's formation as a state.
A type of orientation that takes you to different places on Earth using GPS coordinates. Once there, maybe a surprise waiting, or riddle to solve. I think this is a nice way to avoid the couch, and instead experience the forest and nature. If you are lucky during the journey there is a deer up in the glade for the perfect photo.
Travel is part of my work, but to visit the site with other reason than to work in a factory, is something else entirely. A trip has be active and full of experiences. The experiences can be to meet new people, taste good food and studying ancient cultures. Maybe you come across anything photo generically on the road. I can end my vacation on a beach for a couple of days, but there has to be something to do, as example snorkel at some reefs, if not I go home.
Raspberry Pi is a small computer that costs about 20-30 Euros. The capacity compared to a mobile telephone. There are different operating systems for this, but I use Raspbian a fork of Derbian. It also has a graphical use interface of simple type, but you can edit the word document if you wish. The computer dispatching you right now is a Raspberrp PI computer using Apache web server software.
There is currently a full computer operating system called Linux. Linux is the innermost of the operating system. But this is a shell that has the name GNU. Next shell consists of various graphical interfaces, one called GNOME. All these programs have a special license GPL. This means that no one can stop you or anyone else from copying software. The software is not owned by any individual, but they are free to be copied and changed. However, you can get paid if you work performed around these software products.
This small single board computer does not have a standard user interface without writing a C-like language and loads single board computer from a standard PC. The unit is suitable for controlling electronics. The computer has digital inputs and outputs, and analog inputs and outputs. When I take on a hobby project usually my strategy will be to have the raspberry Pi'n is as a use interface, and keeps right on data and calculations. Arduinon takes care of rapid processes, and the physical control of the real world.
