Carrie Cracknell’s electrifying modern-day staging stars Clémentine Margaine, reprising her captivating portrayal of the title role, and Michael Fabiano, who makes his company role debut as Don José. The all-star principal quartet also features Ailyn Pérez as Micaëla and bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green as Escamillo, with Diego Matheuz on the podium. 

Legendary soprano Kathleen Battle returns to the Met stage on May 12 at 5PM for a special performance of classical song and favorite spirituals. Harpist Bridget Kibbey and guitarist Chico Pinheiro join Battle for this one-night-only event.

The vibrant new production of John Adams’s El Niño, a retelling of the Nativity that crosses eras and cultures in search of universal truths, marks the Met debut of Lileana Blain-Cruz, one of the theater world’s most daring young directors. The occasion also sets the stage for the debuts of three fierce champions of new music: distinguished maestro Marin Alsop on the podium and soprano Julia Bullock and bass-baritone Davóne Tines, who join mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges to form a powerful trio of next-generation stars.

Kevin Puts’s hit new opera, which played to sold-out audiences during its world-premiere production last season, triumphantly returns. The original trio of legendary divas—Renée Fleming, Kelli O’Hara and Joyce DiDonato—reprise their celebrated portrayals of three women from different eras whose lives intersect through the power of Viriginia Woolf’s Mrs. Dalloway.
