BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Jordan Subban scored the shootout winner Wednesday as the Belleville Bulls defeated the Brampton Battalion 2-1 in the Ontario Hockey League.

Joseph Cramarossa and Brendan Gaunce also scored in the shootout for Belleville (4-2-1). Gaunce added the Bulls' goal in regulation late in regulation to tie the score 1-1.

Blake Clarke and Patrik Machac scored in the shootout for Brampton (2-4-2), while Brenden Miller scored on the power play in the first period.

Malcolm Subban, Jordan's older brother, stopped 31 shots to get the win for Belleville. Matej Machovsky made 34 saves at the other end.

Miller opened the scoring on the man advantage at 13:29 of the first after taking a pass at the top of the faceoff circle and firing a wrist shot past Malcolm Subban.

Gaunce tied the score with his third goal in as many games with just over a minute left in regulation to send the game in to overtime.

The two teams meet again Friday night in Brampton, Ont.
