Coastal Kayaking Tours
Coastal Kayaking Tours provides a wide variety of exciting tours, with most of them conducted among the dramatic Porcupine Islands in Frenchman Bay. Whether you are an experienced paddler, or brand new to the sport, we have a tour that is perfect for you. Join us and experience the ultimate paddling experience!
Types of Tours
We offer three different types of tours on a daily basis. Our harbor tours and sunset tours are both 2.5 hour tours. Our half-day tours are 4 hour tours that make a stop on an island/beach around the halfway point.
Wildlife
While getting to see a variety of different types of wildlife is not guaranteed, we have a great record of seeing harbor seals, porpoises, bald eagles, osprey and other wildlife.
We're open for kayak tours from mid-May through mid-October of each year, and we're conveniently located at 48 Cottage Street in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor, gateway to Acadia National Park. Hours during July and August are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in May, June, September and October.
Group Tours
All of our tours are conducted in tandem kayaks with a maximum of 12 people per tour. For odd numbered parties, one person will either be paired with another member of the tour in a tandem, paddle with the guide, or may be in a solo boat.
