AFFILIATE X IN WORDPRESS

Brought to you by http://www.affiliatex.com

BEFORE WE GET STARTED

There are two ways to get started with Affiliate X WP.You can either set it up yourself, by following the instructions below. Or, secondly, we can now set it up for you!

In order to do this, you need to forward your website and FTP details:

* your domain name
* ftp folder if applicable
* ftp username and password

....to affxwp@cbgamechanger.com

Note: for most web-hosts, your FTP info will be included within a "welcome" e-mail they send through (which includes your CPanel info). So if you are not sure what "FTP" means, we strongly advise you to send this e-mail through, and we will pick out the relevant bits.

IMPORTANT: For both options, you will need to have your WordPress site setup before we can get started - if you did not have this, please go here first to get your website setup - then proceed.

Now let's look at how you can do it yourself....

This guide shows you how to install Affiliate X inside your WordPress panel. "Affiliate X WP" automatically inserts the top keywords and ClickBank affiliate programs into your WordPress admin every single day.

The application loads up keywords and affiliate programs for our ClickBank niches. So if you have a Forex website, you can set the app to pull programs and keywords specifically related to Forex.

This means no more research...you literally login to your panel and its automatically all there for you!

Getting set up is a 2 minute process, so lets do it....

STEP 1.

Firstly, you will want to download the latest version of Affiliate X WP, which you can get from http://www.cbgamechanger.com/affxwp/affiliatexwp.zip

Download this file and unzip it using an unzipper program such as winzip or winRAR (http://www.rarlabs.com).

STEP 2.

You'll need WordPress installed on your website in order to use Affiliate X WP.

If you have CPanel installed on your webhost, you can install WordPress with a single click.

If you are not certain how to do this, you might want to check out our Affiliate X free website offer at http://affiliatexwebsites.com

STEP 3

Now WordPress is installed, we need to setup our plugin.

The first step is, we need to upload the files to our WordPress plugin folder.

We can upload files to our server (the computer where our website is stored) many different ways, but the easiest way is via "FTP".

To upload files, we need an "FTP client", which is basically a piece of uploading software. I personally use one called WS-FTP

To get this go to http://www.ipswitch.com/ - although you can get many free FTP clients, such as Cute FTP (http://www.cuteftp.com).

Either way, with any FTP client, the process for uploading files is pretty much the same.

We need to enter our server info (username, password etc) to login to our server so we can upload files.

This info will have been given to you when you setup your website hosting account - please go back to the "welcome" email.

Once you have it, login to your website, and go to the domain you want to setup.

In WS-FTP (the software I use), my domain (with WordPress installed) looks like this:

As you can see, I've gone into my server and clicked on the "aboutyourfitness" folder (in this case, my domain is aboutyourfitness.com ).

We now need to click on the wp-content folder (shown above), and then click on the plugins folder.

This is where we will upload all our WordPress plugins, including this Affiliate X one that we want to install.

As you can see, when I click on this folder, I already have installed 2 plugins (you might already have plugins there, or none, it doesnt matter):

Anyways, we need to now upload our Affiliate X WP script.

To do this, drag the entire "AffiliateX WP Plugin" folder across to your WP plugin folder, like this:

Now we have installed our plugin we need to login to our WordPress admin, and activate the plugin.

STEP 4

Go to your WordPress admin, which will generally be something like http://yoursite.com/wp-admin/ and login.

Now, with WordPress will have a table on the left hand side which has various links for your blog (posts, media, links, etc).

One of the tables will be called "plugins". Click on the "installed" link under this:

And you should see a section marked "Affiliate X Content integration", and a link marked "ACTIVATE":

Click on this link. Now your account is activated!

STEP 5

We now need to amend our admin page - so that Affiliate X can appear inside our panel.

To do this, we need to amend our menu-header file.

Go back to FTP, and click on the wp-admin folder, like this:

Then you should see a file called "menu-header.php":

Drag this across to your computer, and double-click on it.

It should open in NotePad (if it doesn't then open Notepad, and drag the file to your Notepad window)

We need to insert the following at the bottom of the page:

<?php if (function_exists('affx_admin_panel')) { affx_admin_panel(); } ?>

So it will now looks so:
------------------------------------
<ul id="adminmenu">

<?php

_wp_menu_output( $menu, $submenu );
do_action( 'adminmenu' );

?>
</ul>

<?php if (function_exists('affx_admin_panel')) { affx_admin_panel(); } ?>
------------------------------------

Here's how the edited text looks in my Notepad:

Now, click "save" to save the edits to the file, and then drag the file back onto your WordPress folder and replace the menu-header.php file on your server.

If you aren't confident about how to do this, we suggest saving a backup of the original menu-header.php file in case you make a mistake.

STEP 6

The final step is to amend the settings of Affiliate X WP.

To do this, click on "settings" on the left hand side of WP, and click on "AffiliateX".

Now enter the following information to verify your install:

email: jv@affiliatex.com
connection key: 201beb4589320b1076

It should look like this:

The final step is to enter the "niche keyword".

At the moment, we have support for 3 niches:

lose fat
forex
make money

(please don't use underscores, just enter the words with spaces like this: make money).

If you want to check out the niche pages on Affiliate X, go here:

http://affiliatex.com/top_100_niches

Click "save changes", and that's it - your Affiliate X plugin is installed!

Now, you will get affiliate keywords and hot affiliate programs sent direct into your WordPress website.

If you have any problems, you can e-mail us at info [at] affiliatex.com

And remember, if you want to access our full range of keywords and affiliate programs, you should upgrade at http://www.affiliatex.com/upgrade

Thanks and enjoy Affiliate X WP!

Cheers,

Chris
