Karl Powell started Coach Charters Australia in 2002 from humble beginnings without a coach, but with faith he was commencing an important journey for himself and his partner Josephine Cahill.
Karl, the Managing Director and business owner has over 35 years’ experience in the transport and tourism industry. Identifying a need for an independent operator that could provide a wide range of quality and well-priced transport services, Karl established his Australian owned and Northern Territory based fledgling passenger transport company with just one hire coach. The rest, they say, is history.
Since its inception in 2002 Karl and Josephine have grown Coach Charters Australia to be the leading charter passenger transport provider in the Northern Territory. Growing and improving their transport services in response to the needs of their committed clientele has ensured the company’s success at each company milestone.
Coach Charters Australia boasts a fleet of high quality vehicles ranging from 5 seat sedans and 24 seater coasters through to 49 seater buses and 58 seater 5 star coaches. Their portfolio of transport services is extensive - from local crew transfers within Darwin, large school and touring groups, conferences and major events.
