Make your own art -- make your own stencils and templates for airbrushing realistic flames fire. It's simple, inexpensive, and something you NEED to be able to do in order to be a custom painter and airbrush artist. STOP buying expensive templates -- they limit you to doing hack work rather than art work. You have to be changing up your artwork and setting it apart from everyone else. Too many people are doing identical airbrush art work like pinups, etc. from the same stencil sets. Make you own art -- make your own stencils. It is very easy!!
It is VERY IMPORTANT to note a couple things;
A)Do NOT believe anyone who tells you that ANY templates or stencils their templates or stencils are important or are the secret to airbrushing fire or realistic flames.
That is complete bunk. Their super expensive template sets are really just the secret to ripping you off for a hundred dollars for a few cheap pieces of plastic.

There is absolutely nothing secret or magical about any of the realistic flames Template" shapes. These ones below here are THE world famous realistic flames templates airbrushing tools that everyone wants so badly that they have been willing to foolishly pay outrageous sums of money for. They are NOT that special and they are NOT needed to make any quality of realistic flames but if you want them, here they are -- FREE!!!!!!!!!
They are popular and convenient but they aren't really better than anything you can make. You can simply freehand draw a few different curvy templates yourself to add to your fire airbrushing resources. Just make different wild irregular, asymmetrical curves and cut them out with or without laminating them as shown in the video at the bottom of the page.

This is some very, very inexpensive material to use for templates and stencils for airbrushing and door tattooing that cuts nicely by hand -- AND works great in vinyl cutters as well. Research courtesy of Veronica "Ronnie" Deevers. This stuff is colored index dividers for A4 (8.5" X 11' sheets) and is available at lots of places including Dollar Tree where you get 8 sheets of this stuff for a dollar and it is SOLVENT-PROOF!!!!
It can be tough to find at stores. For instance, at Dollar Tree, you usually have to know where it is to find it. It is usually on a horizontal shelf where it is buried tight (see below photo) in the office and art supplies area next to the markers and pens.
A lot of people want to buy fire airbrushing templates and stencils which is cool too but only if you get really nice ones and you get them for bargain basement prices. Rob makes the best laser cut true fire templates and stencils and he sells them at a very reasonable price:
