walk to Lincoln Road and take the South Beach Local Bus to West Avenue and 15th Street.

From Miami Amtrak Train Station:
**Public Bus -- Take the L bus to Lincoln Road and transfer to the South Beach shuttle bus (25 cents) going south or any bus going south. Exit on 9th Street and Washington Ave. and we are right cross the street at 236 9th Street
From Miami Greyhound Bus Station at 4111 NW 27th Street:
**Public Bus -- Walk one block west to Le Jeune Road (27th Street and 42nd Avenue) and get on the metro bus marked 'J BEACH.' This bus will take you to 41st and Indian Creek where you should transfer to Bus C, K or H going south.
By car:
**Take I-95 south to 395 East, this will take you over the bay on the MacArthur Causeway. Stay on the left to exit onto Alton Road. Once on Alton Road turn left at 12th Street, then turn right on West Avenue. Bikini Hostel will be on the right hand side.

From Miami International Airport: Follow overhead exit sign for LeJeune Road South (NW 42nd Avenue) and Expressway S.R. 836. Travel South on LeJeune Road for 0.75 miles towards SR 836. Immediately after going under the second overpass, turn right onto access ramp for Expressway 836 East and drive on it to the toll plaza. After the toll plaza, follow overhead sign for I-395 East/Miami Beach. Continue on I-395 East to the Mac Arthur Causeway US - 41E (same roadway; name changes at water's edge). Stay on Mac Arthur Causeway - this will bring you across the bay to the final causeway bridge. Using the left lane on this bridge, exit left on Alton Rd. North. Continue on Alton Rd. until you reach 12th St. and take a left. Then make a right turn on West Ave and go up one block to 13th and West Ave. The Miami Beach Bikini Hostel will be on the right corner. Enter parking from West Ave and park on your assigned parking.
Driving Directions from the Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood Airport:
The Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is located 30 minutes from the Miami Beach Bikini Hostel.
From Fort Lauderdale Airport: Exit airport and follow signs to I-95 South towards Miami. Take I-95 South for 25 miles to exit #4 for I-195 East - Julia Tuttle Causeway. I-195 East will bring you across Biscayne Bay to Miami Beach. At the end of the causeway, exit to your right onto Alton Road South. Continue on Alton road until 12th St. and make a right. Then make a right on West Ave and go up one block to 13th and West Ave. The Miami Beach Bikini Hostel will be on the right corner. Enter parking from West Ave and park on your assigned parking.
Public Transportation:
Taxis are available at the airport in the lower lever near the baggage pickup. The average cost is $37.00 (flat rate) from the Miami International Airport. The average cost from the Fort Lauderdale Airport is $75.00.
Shuttle service can be found in the lower lever near the baggage pickup. The average cost one way is $20.00 per person from the Miami International Airport. Supershuttle provides a shared-ride van service to and from the airport. Go Airport Shuttle provides a shared ride van to and from the Fort Lauderdale Airport. The average cost one way is $25.00 per person from the Fort Lauderdale Airport. Please account for enough time as the van makes frequent stops.
Buses operate from 5 AM to midnight and cost $2.00 one-way. Please be advised that bus service runs infrequently and is considered slow compared to taxis and cars, which are the recommended ways to travel. |
