The GT250R is one of the first Hyosung motorcycles to be launched in India. At the time of launch, there wasn’t anything quite like it in the market.
The GT250R shares a lot of styling inspiration from its elder sibling, the GT650R. In fact, take away the engine and they might as well be the same motorcycle. The only thing that gives it away is the chrome exhaust canister, which is matt black for the GT650R. The fascia looks aggressive and there's also a tall windscreen. It features a two stage projection beam for better visibility and a digital instrument cluster which looks outdated today.
The Hyosung GT250R is powered by a 250cc V-twin engine which produces 28bhp and 22Nm of torque. The oil-cooled DOHC engine gets electronic fuel injection and is mated to a five-speed gearbox with a wet multiplate clutch. The company sells the Hyosung GT250R in three paint schemes - white-red, red-black and silver-red. It competes with the Honda CBR250R, Yamaha YZF-R3 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
The GT250R still remains a unique proposition at the price – it is the only one to displace 250cc and have two cylinders arranged in a V. It is also the only one in the segment that is truly a full-size bike, so if you’re six feet tall, the Hyosung is the only one on which you can stretch out on. The size and lack of prominent badging also offers admiring glances from everyone. However, if it is outright performance and handling you’re looking for, the Hyosung isn’t the best choice in the segment. the GT250R is priced at Rs 3 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The ARAI mileage of Hyosung GT250R is 30 kmpl. The average of the GT250R is 25 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.

Inspite of a RR310/fz25/apache200 4v/z250/ninja 300/yamaha R3/ cbr250/ i choosed this hyosung gt250r.Parts are much costlier. But experience is good. Servicing is cheaper in comparison to all those bikes which are currently on market. Just need monthly checkups & oil changes within 6 months. Twice a year. Break pads you can buy online. Everything is available online.

Well made bike with good parts , the handling is very good the brakes are ok. The engine is lacking power. For a 250 I would want at least 50 to 60 horsepower not 27. Easy to service and keep clean, sharp looking paint and graphics the exhaust has a emission catalytic converters which chokes the little engine.

I purchased this bike 2013 for 3.19lacs(hc). Riding experience for first few months were great it was smooth and power was good as per to my riding experience. Looks were amazing it was aggressive and huge good looking bike in 250cc, servicing and maintenance is too costly, this bike gives alot of engine work.

Tips for other riders
From my opinion don't purchase this bike(5 years of riding experience).I've invested alot of money in this bike part and even the service is worst, the dsk service centre manager were also rude in customer service. Bike parts are on higher price as per to 250cc bike even this bike gives alot of engine work, parts are too much expensive, service is worst, i sold this bike in 2018 before that i changed many things in it for 42k from service centre and well l, didn't got satisfied by those result even they don't give any guarantee for bike parts..
