Current car prices in UAE

Postby Surge on Wed Jan 10, 2007 9:45 pm

Guys, I need current prices on new cars here in the country. And the more makes and models the better. There is a way to go to the dealers and pretend to be their customer. But probably you could advise me something a bit more effective?

Buy the magazine 'wheels' of Gulf News. Its 2 AED only and ALL the car prices are listed in one section.

Car Prices

Postby Tradeinsider on Sun Jan 14, 2007 10:27 am

Wheels is a great source of prices, but sadly they are quite often out of date and therefore can cause confusion.

Gulf News do not have a direct source of price data from the Dealers, and so some prices are estimates, and others are from the last list they had.

Car also publishes a list of prices, and that is more detailed and more accurate - but whatever you decide to focus on, ring the dealers to check the latest prices for yourself.

You might also want to know that many of the manufacturers and importers over here do not issue list prices, so the price of mainstream models can vary from dealer to dealer - it's worth checking.

Good luck!

Car, detailed - might be, but not accurate. First of all, the prices are in US$ so the rate and stuff causes confusion in prices by as much as AED 500. They also have many foreign models in their so-called GCC buying guide. Reason that they are there? Just because they are famous models in Europe or whatever. I like their single line comments on the cars though.
I sent a mail to those guys at wheels about their prices being inaccurate and since then, I guess they have improved a bit. I don't think they might be estimates although majority of them surely are carried over from previous lists.

Actually, you can find now new car prices on this website as well!
Go to: http://www.autodealer.ae/plugins/ad/new_vehicle.php

These are prices provided by the dealers, but as TNT said prices and offers can change fast, so best to call the dealer to get the latest offer.

For used cars, you will get an idea of what it costs by searching for advertised cars on this website. Largest and longest running database of cars in UAE!

There are loads of cars around the 70k mark!

Are you looking for new or old? Sedan, 4x4, Sports or anything special?

Also, is there any duty on cars to Egypt? and if yes, what engine size is cheaper to import?

Then we'll guide you on what to buy!
