Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation Review

next up on my epic foundation hunt is the estee lauder double wear light foundation. i got a sample in the colour intensity 1.0 (hello pale!) i have used their double wear foundation before but sold it due to the colour being far to dark for me anymore. i also wanted a new foundation that was a bit lighter on my skin.
just with the foundation applied

first impressions of the foundation was that the colour match was pretty good and for a foundation called light the consistency wasn’t as running as i expected. it was very easy to apply and blended in great to my skin. the more i buffed away at the foundation however the more i realised that the coverage really wasn’t working for me. the redness in my cheeks were still very noticeable and any pesky spots and blemishes on my chin were not covered at all. i had to use quite a lot of concealer afterwards to get the coverage i wanted.

finished look

once all the redness and pesky problems were hidden away the foundation did look nice on my skin. it gave a fairly natural finish to the skin and the staying power was pretty average – around 6/7 hours before the shine took over. i think if i didn’t have problems with redness that i wanted covering i would be happier with this foundation but unfortunately at the moment it just doesn’t provide enough. sorry double wear light! onto the next one!

this foundation is £26.50 for 30ml and contains spf 10

have you tried this foundation out? what are your thoughts?
