Asus Technology Proprietary Limited is taking former employee Marlene Gant to the New South Wales Supreme Court on a matter relating to her two year employment with the Taiwanese computer company’s Australian subsidiary.

Gant worked at Asus as the Australia and New Zealand retail channel manager between February 2009 and April 2011.

Directions in this civil case are due to be heard tomorrow at the Land and Environment Court on Macquarie Street, which is hosting the appearance because of refurbishments at the Supreme Court proper.

A media spokesperson for the Court told Current.com.au that this case falls under the Equities Division and is described as a “partnership dispute”.

Gant’s LinkedIn profile lists her as a current employee of LG Electronics Australia, where she holds a general manager position. Current.com.au spoke to several LG employees this morning who neither confirm nor deny that she retains this position.

An industry veteran, Gant has previously worked as the software and peripherals co-ordinator at Harvey Norman (1996-1999), the consumer director at Tech Pacific (1999-2007), and the retail director at Simms International (2008-2009).

Current.com.au has contacted Asus Technology and Marlene Gant for comment.
